This week Im waiting on Night Reigns by Diana Duvall. Its book two in her Immortal Guardians series which I just fell in love with since reading Darkness Dawns.

In this sequel to Delicate Freakn' Flower by the awesomest Eve Langlais. We follow Francine....best friend to Naomi. Every since she was a child, she knew Mitchell(Naomi's brother) was her mate. But he's always seen her as a sister. Even when she developed into a teenager and then an adult he's avoided Francine like the plauge. Then she runs into the goregous cat shifter Alejandro and her wolf recognizes him as her mate as well.


Alejandro is brother to Javier(one of Naomi's mates) and prides himself as being a playboy. He loves women...epecially taken women. He's on the run from some crazy hunter who found out that he slept with his daughter. But when he runs into Francine he forgets everything and wants nothing more than to claim her. His beast recognizes her as his mate. Desperate to see her happy, he proposes that he and Francine pretend to be a couple to make Micthell jealous so he will recognize his feelings for her are in no way sisterly. But a game of pretend has them both wondering...is this real? Is Mitchell really her mate? And if so...will Micthell stop being such a stubborn ASS and admit his feelings for Francine


One of my favorite scenes from this book was definitely the "fake" kiss in front of her job.


Lightning struck, leaving him dazed, but even in his befuddled state, which had his cat yeowling, he remembered how to move his mouth against hers. To grasp her lower lip between his and suck on it until she panted. A sane man would have broken off the kiss at that point, but unfortunately all reason seemed to have fled him. He didn’t stop, instead, he pressed his hard thigh against her core, which straddled him, and licked the seam of her mouth, tasting her.

Need her. Need to claim her. Fuck her. Mark her. Oh shit.

Before he could bend her over and take her, damn anybody watching, he released her, and she stumbled back. God, she looked so beautiful with her face flushed, lips swollen, and he could hear her heart pounding even over her huffing breath. He wanted to drag her back to him. Kiss her again. Take her somewhere and make love to her until her nails raked his back and she begged him to mark her. To keep her forever.

I am in so much fucking trouble. “See you in a little while,” he managed to say through his growing panic. It killed him to ignore the disappointment that clouded her expression along with the confusion—and lust, lust for him, not Mitchell.

Straightening her spine, she threw him a feeble smile. “Well, that wasn’t so bad. At least I don’t want to throw up like I did with Ken a few years back. Of course, in his defense, I’d downed a lot of Sex On The Beach shooters. But next time, mind groping me a little more? No one’s ever going to believe we’re madly passionate about each other with your hands not even grabbing my ass. I mean, seriously. You’ll have to do better.”


I swear Francine was sooo wrong for that one...she was definitely feeling that kiss. But her unwillingness to seem vulnerable and easy she decided to bust his balls instead. I thought it was funny as hell!


I love love loved this one! Francine was almost as foul-mouthed as Naomi...and it was awesome! There were a lot of things that pissed me off with Mitchell. He was soooo stubborn. He really avoided Francine as much as he could. I mean...this fucker made an art out of, how to allude a horny she-wolf...LOL! He was such an ass. To me, when he first realized that he wanted Francine and they decided to give it a shot...he just got worse. And it was unfair of him to try and make Francine choose. But in the end they got it togethr..thank GOD! Alejandro....he was utterly delicous. Devious, sexy and all Alpha. Just how I like em..LOL!


Once again, Eve has a winner here! All of her books are tons of fun and sexy as hell. Can't wait to read Already Freakn' Mated..I know it will be awesome as well!

This week my teaser comes from book two of A Darkness Within series by Jennifer Turner. This is an awesome series about a unique set of supernatural creatures trying to over come the darkness within them. Lost of political games and sexy vampires that can turn into dragons. I definitely love this series...yal should check it out:)

 “Good morning. I almost thought you left.”


 “I figured I’d hit the shower while you were sleeping. I didn’t want my stink to scare you away.” He ended his sentence with that lopsided smile she’d become rather fond of.


She mirrored the gesture. “Well, thanks for thinking of me.” 


The grin on his lips widened for just a fraction of a second before it turned devious at the corners. “You’re welcome,” he drawled as he hooked his thumbs inside the top of his towel and inched it down a little farther, baring more tanned skin for her hungry eyes. The teenager and the woman inside her both sat up and took notice, waiting to see how far that thin trail of hair went as the towel slid even lower down his hips. But just before they got the answer they’d been hoping for, he ripped the damn thing from his waist and clothes suddenly appeared on his body. Toni shook her head then stared at him again, this time in disbelief. All that gorgeous skin was now covered by a tight black t-shirt, hard leather pants and a pair of boots. How the hell did he do that? But more importantly…why? She blew out the breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding. Well, if nothing else, at least he looked comfortable.

"Which paranormal creature do you wish would "come out of the closet" and reveal themselves to the real world?"

A few years ago I probably woulda picked vampires, but now that Iv read more shifter books I would definitely go with shifters. The males are so much more alpha and sexy as hell! Who wouldnt want to hear they man growl at them when they're angry? It would be a complete turn on! Id find myself pissing him off on purpose just to hear it and make him wanna flip me over anywhere just to shut me up...LOL! 


I also,I think the world would be more surprised to find out about shapeshifters than vampires!

This week my TT (really a scene this time)comes from Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James.

“Come,” he murmurs. 


“What?” 


“We’re going to rectify the situation right now.” 


“What do you mean? What situation?” 


“Your situation. Ana, I’m going to make love to you, now.” 


“Oh.” The floor has fallen away. I’m a situation. I’m holding my breath. 


“That’s if you want to, I mean, I don’t want to push my luck.” 


“I thought you didn’t make love. I thought you fucked hard.” I swallow, my mouth suddenly dry. He gives me a wicked grin, the effects of which travel all the way down there. 


“I can make an exception, or maybe combine the two, we’ll see. I really want to make love to you. Please, come to bed with me. I want our arrangement to work, but you really need to have some idea what you’re getting yourself into. We can start your training tonight – with the basics. This doesn't mean I’ve come over all hearts and flowers, it’s a means to an end, but one that I want, and hopefully you do, too.” His gray gaze is intense. I flush… oh my… wishes do come true. 


“But I haven’t done all the things you require from your list of rules.” My voice is all breathy, hesitant.


 “Forget about the rules. Forget about all those details for tonight. I want you. I’ve wanted you since you fell into my office, and I know you want me. You wouldn’t be sitting here calmly discussing punishment and hard limits if you didn’t. Please, Ana, spend the night with me.” He holds his hand out to me, his eyes are bright, fervent… excited, and I put my hand in his. He pulls me up and into his arms so I can feel the length of his body against mine, this swift action taking me by surprise. He runs his fingers round the nape of my neck, winds my ponytail around his wrist, and gently pulls so I’m forced to look up at him. He gazes down at me.


 “You are one brave young woman,” he whispers. “I am in awe of you.” His words are like some kind of incendiary device; my blood flames. He leans down and kisses my lips gently, and he sucks at my lower lip. “I want to bite this lip,” he murmurs against my mouth, and carefully he tugs at it with his teeth. I moan, and he smiles.


 “Please Ana, let me make love to you.” 


“Yes,” I whisper, because that’s why I’m here.

Im greatly enjoying this book can't wait to see what all the fuss is about. I have a feeling Im going to love  it:)

Review

Zane's Redemption by Tina Folsom

Book 5 of the Scaguards Vampire Series by Tina Folsom focuses on Zane. The onery loner vampire of the Scanguards crew. Since brutally murdering a rapist one night Samson decides he's fed up with Zane's antics. So instead of firing him, him and Gabriel try to teach him a lesson. But babysitting a snobish half-breed princess is the last thing Zane excpects. Neither is his fierce attraction to her.


Portia's a half-breed and she realizes her over-bearing Vampire Father has assigned a body guard to keep her from getting out of control while he's away. She soon finds out that the real reason for this is to stop her from losing her virginity. Once she reaches 21st birthday her body will stop aging and she will be a virgin forever. Time is running out for her and meeting Zane gives her an idea to make him her first no matter what daddy dearest has to say about it.


First off, I would like to say that this is the best of the Scanguards series! We find out a lot about the reason for Zane's cruelty and ongoing rage. He's a hollocaust survivor and his lifes mission is to find all the evil Nazis who turned him and made his life misserable. Then his willingness to protect Portia from a horrible fate of being a virgin forever. There were a lot of hilarious moments as well as heartbreaking momements where we got to see first hand the tragedy of Zanes life when he and his family was taken to a concentration camp when he was a young man.


I greatly enjoyed the banter and the sexual tension between Zane and Portia from the momemnt they met.


Pride dictated that he not let her win this argument. “You know nothing about me, and you never will.” She didn’t turn as she set her foot on the first stair. Her words were low as she murmured as if talking to herself, but he heard them all the same. “Watch your back, tough guy.” Watch yours, or you’ll find yourself on it soon, he wanted to respond but didn’t.


Zane realized that he wanted Portia right away and was scared that once he did...he wouldnt beable to let her go. I was quite surprised that we got to see a softer and more vurernable side to him. But it didnt take away from the fierceness that I grew to love about him as well.


Zane averted his eyes so Portia wouldn’t detect his lie. Yes, he was rough, but with her, he could care; with her, he would see that she enjoyed it. For her, he could do that. But he didn’t want her to know, because this was never going to happen. If he took Portia, he’d consume her, devour her, and then, when she wanted to leave him, he’d force her to stay with him, because he wouldn’t be able to let her go. One taste of her, and he knew that much with certainty. There was no need to tempt fate and take this any further.


There were some parts of this story that I found it tough to read. Zane's self-hatred of his heritage...I didnt see that one coming at all. And also, when Zane tried to explain to Samson that Portia's father was forcing her to remain a virgin forever. It was extremely frustrating when Samson refused to see reason and always assumed the worst in Zane....grrrr! But in the end, they all realized what was going on and I forgave him(sorta). This was a story of redemption, forgiveness and love. Also, the old adage, never judge a book by its cover. Zane was always put into a certain bracket, and I learned that he was much more than that. He really wanted someone to love and love him back. He didnt think he was worthy of that love because he always saw himself as a dirty jew, as it was ingrained in him when he was captured. But Portia saw the good in him showed him that he was worthy of love. I don't want to give anything away, since there's a lot of surprises and twists in this installment. But what I will say is that the is the best vampire romance that Iv read in a while. Please read this series...you won't be dissapointed in the least. I also can't wait to see what going on with Thomas and Eddie.....Hope they are next?????
