In this 4th installment to The Big Bad Wolf Series Byron Caige has been a prisoner for the last fifty years of his supernaturally long life. Just when he gives up hope of ever knowing the taste of freedom again, he is unwittingly rescued by the very same woman who only wants to see him dead. Katherine Dare - Kat - is smart, fast, strong and beautiful - but unfortunately she's a Hunter, and she's convinced that Byron murdered her father twenty years ago.

She's also Byron's dormant.

This wasnt my favorite of the series and I was a bit bored at times. But once I got halfway through it I was quite entertained. To me this was a story of redemption and second chances. For Kat...it was realizing how wrong she was about Byron and the werewolf community. Since seeing Byron at her fathers dead body....then seeing him flash into a wolf soon after she always believed him to have killed her dad. And she took her frustrations out on all werewolves and became a hunter. Actually one of thier most respected and lethal killers. Once realizing her wrong doings...Kat is determined to redeem herself and save the werewolf community from an evil curse. Then there's Byron captivity and finally his escape from Malachai Wraythe's daughter.

All in all, this a great addition to the series. There were some hot and steamy moments and some heartfelt moments as well. Especially when Byron and Lucas reunite. Although this isnt my fav of the series,I still greatly enjoyed it. I love this world that Heather has created and its really quite original. Can't wait to find out what else is instore for my favorite wolves......

The Spell!

Dannai is an extremely powerful witch and is keeping a secret. She's also a Dormant(werewolf mate and only one that can bear werewolf children)...she's been dreaming of Lucas Caige. She believes that if she mates with a werewolf then she will loose her power of healing and its not worth it to her. So she hides her dormancy from the werewolf community. A twist of fate puts the two of them together and as her shields go down Lucas finds out that she is a Dormant. Unfortunately, Lucas hates all things to do with magic since his brother was killed by one and he hasn't yet realized that she's a witch. And of course the psycho Gabriel Phelan is hot on Dannai's trail and wants to claim her as well.



This one was good but not as good as The Strip...but I still enjoyed it very much! Lucas is super Hawt and Dannai is a great strong heroine! I don't know why but I just didn't feel it as much as the previous one and I had high hopes for it....definitely a good read though. I like you get to learn more about the supernatural community in this one and things get explained more. I also can't wait to read the next one!

The Strip!!!

Two years has passed and the cursed Malcolm Cole's been exonerated of his accused crimes and has finally found the woman he wants to make his mate, Charlie St.James. Charlie is not only a born werewolf but is also a Dormant. Malcolm thinks she's his best kept secret but soon finds out there's an evil Alpha out there and he's after Charlie as well. He's one of the strongest Alpha's around and he's staked his claim on Charlie whether she likes it or not!

Gabriel Phelan

This one was the best of the series to me because the villain was waaay more sinister! He was completely obsessed with Charlie and had been since she was a child. And he was a complete sadist! He was just evil incarnate. There were some moments when he captures Charlie and subjects her to torture. Malcolm had the chance to mark Charlie as his mate and he finds a Mage to remove the mark from her but it has to be with her consent first. So he makes his minions arouse her sexually and uses a bull whip on her at the same time. He was a complete psycho!!

There was also some other villains into the mix...The hunters and the enigmatic Akyri(vampires that feed off of weres and witches/warlocks). I also enjoyed the fact that Charlie was a fighter!! She was already a powerful woman in her own right and still had the willpower not to submit to Phelan during his torture. All in all, this series is really awesome and can't wait to read the next one!!

The Heat!!

Lily St.Claire has always wanted her best friends brother...Daniel. But it seems that he doesn't feel the same since he's been with all of her friends but her. After returning back home to Baton Rouge 10 years later she reunites with Daniel and he's made a complete 180. But what Lily doesn't know is that Daniel's a werewolf and she is his attended mate. The only reason he didn't claim her 10 years ago was because he promised his sister that he would leave her alone. But know that Lily's all grown up and back in town all bets are off! He's going to make her his no matter the cost.



Unfortunately, Lily is a Dormant(an attended werewolf mate and the only ones that can bare werewolf children) and Daniel's not the only Alpha out there trying to claim a mate. There's a killer on the loose in Baton Rouge and he's after Lily so Daniel forces his mark on her for protection...but werewolves aren't the only ones out there. Hunters are also targeting Dormants and werewolves to eradicate their race.



I was completely caught off guard by this werewolf tale. I wasnt super excited to read it but it was 99cents, Im a book junkie so I bought it anyway. And Im soooo glad that I did....I loved every minute of it. The romance was great and I was totally sucked in. What I loved about the heroine was that even though she's human and can't possibly defeat a werewolf she has balls and tries it anyway. For instance. When Malcom Cole takes Lily captive she burns his house down to escape..ballsy if you ask me!! There was a little mystery thrown in there too. There's a serial killer on the loose and all fingers point to Malcolm Cole. He's a famous mystery/thriller author and an Alpha werewolf who suposedly is a murderer who uses his exploits for his books...the problem is the Werewolf Council can't catch him in the act so they just leave him be. But later you find out that he's really not a killer and is plagued with a nasty curse. All in all I am definitely going to start the next one asap and am now a fan of the Big Bad Wolf series;)
