Venice Vampyr 3 by Tina Folsom

Venice Vampyr: Sinful Treasure (Venice Vampyr #3)Venice Vampyr: Sinful Treasure by Tina Folsom

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It was great to be back with one of my favorite authors Tina Folsom!! The 3rd installment of the Venice Vampyr series follows Lorenzo. The self proclaimed playboy and friends of Dante and Stephan from previous books. One night while settling into his new home he finds a pleasant surprise by the name of Bianca waiting in his bed chambers. He thinks its a housewarming gift from his buddies and is very grateful. Whats an aroused Vampire to do???Rock her world thats what!! Bianca just found out that her estranged father has passed and leaves her his house and all off his debt. Then a mysterious man(Lorenzo) absolves the debt of her father and takes the house as payment. For Bianca no love is lost between her and her father so she has come back to Venice for one reason and one reason only...to claim the treasure her father once told her about when she was little that should be enough to start a new life for herself. When she meets Lorenzo he begins to be more tempting than any treasure she can think of.

Lorenzo is not one to trust humans...since he was betrayed by a lover once. But when he meets Bianca she stirs something in him that he thought was dead a long time. Bianca is no innocent...she's a courtesan trained to give men pleasure but this treasure of her fathers can give her a fresh start so that she can be her own master. What starts out as a quest for her own independence turns into the finding the one true person that loves and cherishes her like no other!

This was filled with lotsa emotion and scorching hot sex and I loved every second of it. I really connected with Lorenzo and Bianca and it was nice seeing old friends like Dante and Stephan and their wives Bella and Viola! I've never found a Tina Folsom book that I haven't liked yet and I know there will never be!! 5 Stars!!!

City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare

City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments Series #4)City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Holy Feckin Cliffhanger!! Thats all I can say!! This one was slower than the others but, I missed Clary and the gang so it wasn't that bad. The reall good stuff was at the end though. Jace was so down on himself in this one, but it is to be expected. His whole world is up side down. He really doesn't know who he is and it's going to take some time. Hopefully not too much time cuz he was pissing me the fuck off! I want my wise cracking, sarcastic, kick ass Jace back!! And I want him now ::Stops Feet::

All in all, I liked it a lot aside from Jace and his whining! Ok...I still loved it! Can't wait til the next one!

Bitten by Kelly Armstrong

Bitten (Women of the Otherworld, #1)Bitten by Kelley Armstrong

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I've haven't read many shifter books but his one was awesome!! Elena is the only female werewolf in existence. In Bitten she is trying to fight her nature and have a "normal" life. But when she is summoned home to her Pack by her Alpha. She gets sucked right back into Pack life. She is an enforcer. Keeping the Mutts in line and off of her territory! Then there is sexy Clay, bodyguard to the Alpha and adoptive son. He's in love with Elena and will do anything to get her back. I love this story. Throughout most of the series Elena is trying to fight her nature and her place in Pack life as well as Clay's arms. There's a HUGE betrayal in the story that you will have to read to find out. I was totally shocked and at that point I understood why Elena is fighting for her normal existence. To me though it was quite boring...Phillip is a dudd! Clay is totally hot! That Louisiana accent just made me wanna melt in a puddle...tehee! So if you like werewolves with a Super Kickass Heroine then try this one out. I'm sure glad I did...Ciao;)

Darkness Dawns by Diane Duvall

Once, Sarah Bingham's biggest challenge was making her students pay attention in class. Now, after rescuing a wounded stranger, she's handed in the middle of a battle between corrupt vampires and powerful immortals who also need blood to survive. Roland Warbrook is the most compelling man Sarah has ever laid hands on. But his desire for her is mingled with a hunger he can barely control...In his nine centuries of immortal existence, no woman has tempted Roland as much as Sarah. But asking her to love him is impossible - when it means forfeiting the world she's always known, and the life he would do anything to protect.
My Review: It starts out with Sara trying to treat her insomnia by doing a little late night gardening. Til she some animal almost runs her down! She finds out soon that is was no animal and some guys are trying to kill a man out by her property. She kicks their ass and saves the man. She finds out that he's no ordinary man, but he's an immortal guardian, savior to mankind from vampires and other supernaturals. I completely fell in love with this story. It kinda had a Dark Hunter feel to it but I greatly enjoyed it and can't wait til the next one comes out.  Easy 5 stars in my book;)

Review of Dead in the Family

Dead in the Family (Sookie Stackhouse, #10)Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

As much as I love this series. I still have some questions left unanswered. I mean...this book went from being about the issues with Victor to Appius! Dont get me wrong...I still liked it a lot but I still feel like it was unfinished. On another note...I am glad that she's now living with the other fey. Dermott and Clyde bring a cool element to this story. I think if it was more about her and her faerie brethren and less about Eric and the other Vamp issues then it would have been better. Or maybe the Appius shit be put in a novella...IDK! Maybe I'm reaching! All in all, love this series. Thank God Appius and the Russian psycho is gone! And now we can get down to business. Like getting rid of Victor!!

Now I must say that I am a BIG supporter of Eric Northman...he is just so damned hot and sexy! And he adore's Sookie as much as he can for a vampire! But...we all know that he is not going to be her HEA. So who will it be? Who the fuck knows!! But I will say this: PLEASE PLEASE don't let it be Sam!!

Wrong Suitor by Tina Folsom

The Wrong SuitorThe Wrong Suitor by Tina Folsom

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This storytakes place in 1800's Texas where this real feisty girl Ellen keeps getting offers for marriage. She keeps declining because she wants real love. Her father is trying to marry her off so he sends out a message for eligible bachelors to offer marriage to his daughter and he will pay them $1000. Then there's this cowboy who makes an offer to her father on the behalf of Mr. Riley and he's supposed to bring Ellen to his ranch to marry her. But the sexy cowboy is Mr.Riley and he's is smitten by Ellen and works with her father in attemps to "tame"her! This was a great novella from Tina Folsom. I haven't found a story yet that I didn't like by her...if there is such a thing. I've only read her paranormal stories and I was a little worried about reading it. I don't know why...I should have known better! Anywhoo....I highly recommend this to those of you out there who like a lotta steam in ur romances....I know I do!! Ciao:)

Last Minion Standing by Eve Langlais

Last Minion StandingLast Minion Standing by Eve Langlais

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Another great novella from my favortite author Eve Langlais! Half demon Sally is a bounty hunter for Hades, sending souls back to Hell where they belong. Deciding that she needs a Minion/Sidekick her best friend/roomate sets her up with a contest to find a Minion and a Super-Hero name which turns into a reality show contest. One night on a routine job a shirt and shoeless hunk, Drake, comes along and steals her bounty right from under her. Seeing him not only pisses her off but gets her all hot and bothered!! Drake is a shifter who will do anything to make Sally his mate, including joining the contest to make certain that he not only wins the contest but wins her heart forever! I loved it this story and the switch from 1st person to 3rd person POV! You can never go wrong when choosing one of Eve's awesome stories!!

Georgina Kincaid Series by Richelle Mead

My first Richelle Mead series was The Vampire Acdemy...which I absolutely LOVED!! But this chica is such a Gem when it comes to Adult UF/PNR genre!! Georgina Kincaid is definitely one of my favs in the female heroine catagory!!

Succubus. An alluring, shape-shifting demon who seduces and pleasures mortal men. Pathetic. A succubus with great shoes and no social life. See: Georgina Kincaid.
When it comes to jobs in hell, being a succubus seems pretty glamorous. A girl can be anything she wants, the wardrobe is killer, and mortal men will do anything just for a touch. Granted, they often pay with their souls, but why get technical?
But Seattle succubus Georgina Kincaid's life is far less exotic. Her boss is a middle-management demon with a thing for John Cusack movies. Her immortal best friends haven't stopped teasing her about the time she shape-shifted into the Demon Goddess getup complete with whip and wings. And she can't have a decent date without sucking away part of the guy's life. At least there's her day job at a local bookstore--free books; all the white chocolate mochas she can drink; and easy access to bestselling, sexy writer, Seth Mortensen, aka He Whom She Would Give Anything to Touch but Can't.
But dreaming about Seth will have to wait. Something wicked is at work in Seattle's demon underground. And for once, all of her hot charms and drop-dead one-liners won't help because Georgina's about to discover there are some creatures out there that both heaven and hell want to deny...

What a great series....and powerful love story. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did!!

Dark Swan Series by Richelle Mead

Just typical. No love life to speak of for months, then all at once, every horny creature in the Otherworld wants to get in your pants...
Eugenie Markham is a powerful shaman who does a brisk trade banishing spirits and fey who cross into the mortal world. Mercenary, yes, but a girl's got to eat. Her most recent case, however, is enough to ruin her appetite. Hired to find a teenager who has been taken to the Otherworld, Eugenie comes face to face with a startling prophecy--one that uncovers dark secrets about her past and claims that Eugenie's first-born will threaten the future of the world as she knows it.
Now Eugenie is a hot target for every ambitious demon and Otherworldy ne'er-do-well, and the ones who don't want to knock her up want her dead. Eugenie handles a Glock as smoothly as she wields a wand, but she needs some formidable allies for a job like this. She finds them in Dorian, a seductive fairy king with a taste for bondage, and Kiyo, a gorgeous shape-shifter who redefines animal attraction. But with enemies growing bolder and time running out, Eugenie realizes that the greatest danger is yet to come, and it lies in the dark powers that are stirring to life within her...

Really awesomes series!! I lost a lot of sleep and it was well worth it!! I don't want to say much without giving things away...but trust me...GREAT read!! Lotsa twists and turns and such!! Richelle Mead is such a great writer...can't wait til the next one. Which is a LONG time from now!!

The Shifter Series by Rachel Vincent

Stray starts out with Faythe Sanders a werecat that breaks away from her Pride to find her independence. She doesn't want to do whats expected of her, which is get married and have babies. She makes a life for herself...friends and a boyfriend and she seems content with that. Until one night a Stray tries to kidnap her and her father(who is also the Alpha of their Pride) sends her ex-fiance Marc to bring her back home and keep her safe. So its up to Faythe and her fellow Pridemates to un cover the ones responsible for other missing tabbies. This was an awesome series!! And was my first series predominately about shifters and I loved every second of it! There's a great love triangle between Marc, Faythe and Jace...her brothers best friend! Each book gets better and better. Faythe is no tame tabby and through out the series she's Kicking Ass and Taking names! All in all a great series that I will now add to my favorites and I will re-read piles! Thank you Ms. Vincent for creating such an amazing series with lotsa gore and action and emotional trama...I loved it!! I feel proud to say that Ms. Vincent has popped my Shifter cherry!!LOL
